Meet Jennifer
I am a better lender because I have been the realtor
14 years in real estate, with 6 years in Central Texas, spent inside the transaction before I ever wrote a loan. That is not a side note on my resume. It is the entire reason Nook Lending exists.
I've never been very interested in fitting into one box. I'm a loan officer and real estate entrepreneur, the founder of Nook Lending and Nook Realty, a mom, a connector, and someone endlessly curious about how to build a successful business without sacrificing a meaningful life.
I got my real estate license in New York City at 18. NYC taught me to move fast, read people, negotiate hard, and figure out what I needed to know before I ever felt fully ready, and that instinct still runs every file I touch.
Then life took me to Costa Rica, where I had my first daughter and found a very different definition of success: slower, healthier, more connected to nature, family, and community. That chapter changed how I think about work, home, and what a rich life actually looks like.
Austin and the Hill Country eventually became home because they offer both. Ambition, creativity, opportunity, and incredible people, with enough land, trees, sunsets, and space to stay grounded.
I built a top producing real estate business here, more than $65 million sold, and I watched financing decide the outcome from the sidelines more times than I want to count, appraisals falling apart, closings nearly missed. One deal in particular pushed me over the edge: I gave up my own commission just to hold the closing together. I knew exactly what the missing experience looked like from the other side of the table, so I built it myself.
My why is simple. My family, my community, and a life with freedom, connection, health, and purpose, with plenty of room to actually enjoy it. Nook Lending is how I get to build all of that while actually helping people get into a home the right way.

Outside the file
The rest of it
I am a working mom of two daughters, a fiancée, and a self-made business owner. My why has always been my family, my community, and designing a life with more freedom, connection, health, and joy. I believe deeply in building with intention, not just for success, but for the life that success is supposed to create.
Outside of real estate, I am usually playing pickleball or padel, practicing yoga, going to more concerts than I can reasonably justify, or baking sourdough with an unnecessary level of commitment. Some of the communities I have found in Austin have also become the source of many of my closest friendships, which is a big part of why this place feels like home.
Growing up, homeownership never felt especially accessible to my family. We did not understand the process, the options, or what might have been possible for us. That is a big part of why helping first-time buyers means so much to me. Giving someone the clarity and confidence my own family did not have is one of the most meaningful parts of this work.
The name
Where Nook came from
On showings I would open a door and say “I love this little nook.” Every single time. There is usually one corner of a house that feels like the place you get to put the day down, and I noticed I was pointing at it in every home I walked.
So when it came time to name the company, it was already named. I still say it on showings, and I still tell clients the story. The brand was not invented in a meeting. It got named after something I was already doing.
